an experimental Word 2007 DOCM edition. We have rendered the term "Israelite" as
"Israeli" throughout the text. We seek commentary on this
practice from both the Jewish and Christian communities.
Please note the following:
Because we are preparing the completed ISV Bible for typesetting and
publication, we are no longer able to offer pre-release copies
of the Hebrew Scriptures (Tanakh) order of the Old Testament for download at the present time. Hebrew Scriptures editions of the ISV will
be available in printed form in 2011.
Also, as part of our preparation of the text of the completed ISV for
typesetting, we have stripped the text of our bug workarounds that pertained
to Microsoft's Word 2003/2007 program. Accordingly, the chapter and verse
references that appear at the top of each page are no longer accurate nor
reliable indicators of the page contents in the text of the ISV in Microsoft
DOCM file format.
