The ISV reads:
That is why I suffer as I
do. However, I am not ashamed, for I know the one in whom I have put my
trust, and I'm convinced that he is able to protect what he has entrusted to
me until that day.
Our rendering is no error. It reflects a
difference of opinion, to use your
words. Didn't you notice the footnote after the word "me" in verse 12? It
reads: "1:12 Or what I have entrusted to him" An ambiguity in the Greek
allows both renderings.
